2 In Personal Development & Leadership

Life, Leadership and the Long Run

They always that that you should write about what you have the most passion for.  Then it will all come easy for you.  Writing for a blog should not be a chore.  Who would want to keep up with that, right?  As my blog has evolved and developed, I continue to learn.  I’m excited to share some new thoughts with you today about the direction of the blog.

A New Direction

A few weeks ago, I wrote on my social media accounts about my plans to become more organized and productive after I had a week that completely got away from me.  As I started researching blogs and articles for the top tips to become more organized I became more and more excited to share that with my readers.  The thing about these tips (and any how to book or article for that matter) is that it can easily cause paralysis by analysis.  There is so much information out there that it quickly becomes overwhelming.  I think that people need a method for implementing these ideas and perhaps some guidance to build good habits for busy people.

And that’s where my brain started thinking about creating a course to help others be more productive.  So, as we speak I am building the content for my first course that will launch in January.  Just in time to help you with those New Year’s Resolutions!

I also continued to think about how all of these ideas marry together…and then it hit me.  Most of the runners that I know are multitaskers and go getter’s just like I am.  They need to be able to manage jobs, home life, and training.  These are skills that everyone needs.  So there it is.  And my new tag line was born: Life, Leadership, and the Long Run.

The Preparation

And this is something that I can really get behind.  I love to read personal development books and I feel that I am now a catalog of knowledge.  My master’s degree is in leadership and education.  While it is a nursing degree, education and leadership principles are universal.

Have you ever been told that everything you are going through is to prepare you for what is yet to come?  I feel like I hear that all the time.  Ya know what?  I feel like this is all coming full circle for me.  Maybe what I have been through was to prepare me to be ready for this platform.  Buckle up and let’s go for a ride, shall we?

I’m still working out my plans and this will continue to evolve over time but I’m pretty darn excited about the possibilities!
